ConstructDash ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to handling your information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights as a user. ConstructDash is designed for construction program professionals who require a clear, honest data handling standard.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register or create an account, we collect your name, email address, job title, and company name via our signup form.

Payment Information

Payment is processed by Stripe. ConstructDash does not store credit card numbers or payment credentials. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of payment data.

Uploaded Bid Data

When you use the Service, you may upload bid documents, spreadsheets, or PDF files containing construction procurement data. This content is transmitted to the Anthropic API for processing and is not stored by ConstructDash beyond the duration of your active session.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage information such as pages visited and session counts through a cookieless analytics service. This service does not use cross-site trackers or fingerprinting and does not collect personal identifiers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to: (a) provide and operate the Service; (b) communicate with you about your account, service tier, and Service updates; (c) process payments via Stripe; (d) improve and develop the Service based on usage patterns; (e) comply with legal obligations.

4. Bid Data and the Anthropic API

ConstructDash processes uploaded bid documents using the Anthropic API. This means your uploaded content is transmitted to Anthropic's servers for AI analysis. ConstructDash does not retain copies of your uploaded bid files after processing is complete. We do not use your bid data to train models or share it with third parties beyond what is necessary for API processing.

5. Data Retention

Account information is retained for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period following termination for legal and record-keeping purposes. Uploaded bid data is not retained by ConstructDash after processing. Usage data may be retained in aggregate, anonymized form.

6. Service Providers and Data Processors

ConstructDash does not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers. The following categories of third-party processors handle data on our behalf:

Infrastructure & Hosting

We host the application and serve all web traffic through a US-based cloud hosting provider. This provider also supplies cookieless, privacy-preserving analytics and media asset storage. Their privacy policy governs their handling of hosting and analytics data.

Database

Your account record, analysis history, and credit balance are stored in a managed Postgres database in the US region.

Authentication

Clerk — manages user authentication, sessions, and account management. Clerk handles your email address and login credentials on our behalf. For details on the cookies set during authentication, see our Cookie Policy.

Payment Processing

Stripe— processes all payments. ConstructDash does not store credit card numbers or payment credentials. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.

Email

We use a transactional email provider to send account notifications, newsletter issues, and unsubscribe confirmations. Your email address is transmitted to this provider for delivery purposes only.

AI Processing

Anthropic API— processes uploaded bid documents for the bid leveling tool. Uploaded content is transmitted to Anthropic's API and is not retained by ConstructDash after processing.

Audio & Podcast

Audio for the ConstructDash Insights podcast is generated by a third-party text-to-speech provider. Article text is transmitted to this provider for audio conversion. Their privacy policy governs their handling of this content.

Legal Disclosure

We may disclose your information to legal authorities if required by applicable law, court order, or valid legal process.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no internet transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for the sensitivity of data you choose to upload.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at hello@constructdash.com. We will respond within 30 days. California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

9. Cookies and Analytics

ConstructDash uses functional cookies for authentication session management (via Clerk). These cookies are strictly necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled.

For site analytics, we use a cookieless, privacy-preserving analytics service that does not set cookies, does not fingerprint users, and does not track you across sites. No advertising cookies or third-party trackers are present.

If advertising (AdSense) is enabled in the future, a cookie consent mechanism will be added before activation.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for professional use and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service following notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
